Ripa Detached House

A few minutes from the center of Perugia, the medieval village of Castello di Ripa preserves intact the charm of small Umbrian fortified settlements. Perched on a panoramic hill and surrounded by agricultural landscapes and woods, the castle is a place where time seems to flow more slowly: stone alleys, medieval arches, sudden views of the countryside and an authentic atmosphere that tells centuries of history. In this unique context there is an independent stone house, built in continuity with the walls of the castle. The building is free on three sides, while the fourth side rests directly against the historic walls, creating a suggestive architectural dialogue between the house and the medieval fortification. The property has independent access from the street and a private courtyard of about 65 square meters, a precious outdoor space that leads to the house and allows you to live outdoors with privacy and tranquility. On the ground floor there is the service part of the house: a garage of about 30 square meters, a fund and a cellar created in the ancient tunnels of the castle, suggestive environments that testify to the historical origin of the complex. Also on the ground floor is the entrance with an atrium that leads to the private staircase connecting to the upper level. The first floor houses the main apartment of about 105 square meters, organized with a balanced distribution between living and sleeping areas. The rooms are bright and well proportioned, with a clear functional separation of spaces. The living area is the heart of the house: a large living room characterized by four windows that open the view to the surrounding landscape. From here the view extends over the green Umbrian hills to the city of Perugia, creating a bright and suggestive scenario, often kissed by the sun during the most beautiful hours of the day. It is a space designed for conviviality and for everyday life, where the landscape becomes an integral part of the living experience. The sleeping area includes two bedrooms and a bathroom. The materials underline the distinction between the different areas of the house: parquet floors in the rooms for a warm and welcoming atmosphere, while contemporary, resistant and elegant stoneware has been chosen in the living area. The building was subsequently enhanced through a renovation and a soft furniture project curated by the ContiCameira studio, which interpreted the spaces with contemporary sensitivity while respecting the building's historical identity. The indicated price did not include these interventions, carried out later to improve the quality of the rooms and enhance the architectural potential of the house. The result is an authentic and bright residence, where history, landscape and contemporary life meet in the heart of one of the most suggestive villages in the Perugia area.
